Musk texted OpenAI's Brockman about settlement two days before trial began

"When Mr. Brockman responded with a suggestion that both sides drop their respective claims, Mr. Musk shot back: 'By the end of this week, you and Sam will be the most hated men in America. If you insist, so it will be,'" the filing says.Musk, who co-founded OpenAI in 2015, sued the company, Brockman and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman in 2024, alleging they went back on their commitment to keep the artificial intelligence company a nonprofit and to follow its charitable mission.
